Assessment of gifted and dyslexic pupil
aged 8 years. Dated 8th September
2011
Two years ago you assessed
our daughter C.. Your report has been a continued source of encouragement for her during
difficult times at school when she has felt less competent than others. As a result she has made
real progress at school since your assessment and the extra support received at
school as a result. We were encouraged enough to let her to sit local
grammar school entrance tests.
From parent of 13 year
old boy - Dyslexia, full assessment and report. Also report to
gain exam concessions dated 24th January 2011
Thank you very much for producing
the report so quickly. Thanks also for the thoughtful
comments about L. and our present circumstances. In fact my wife zealously
passed the report to the school straight away - I discussed it with L's helper,
Mrs F, on Friday at length, she thought it a good report and confirmed a lot of
her feelings, and it gives her the evidence she needs to implement your
recommendations. So thank you so much again. I'll let you know if there is
further feedback. Warm regards
Part
of Tribunal Decision for severely autistic 13 year old boy seeking specialist
residential provision dated August 2010
We
noted also the evidence of
Gillian Willis, who we found to be an impressive witness, that in the right
educational environment, he could be expected to make progress.
From mother of a 13 year old boy who was attending
a mainstream comprehensive with little support dated June 2010
I would like also to take this opportunity to thank you, once again, for your latest help Gill. Your response to the LEA was absolutely wonderful. And we have now received good news. They have accepted to send
A. to a specialist day school for speech, language and communication needs as you have recommended.
Although it is not residential, because they are on tight budget and can't afford a residential school, I am still very pleased with the news since A. is going to a specialist school and we
didn't have to go to tribunal and that saved us a lot of time. The solicitor is very pleased too. We have visited B. school which was a school you have recommended to me and A and I loved it. Next week, A is going there to be assessed for two days and then they will let us know if he got a place. I hope he will.
All this is thanks to you Gill, you set us on the right road with your reports, help and advice and I am grateful to you for life.

I just wanted to thank you again for assessing T. I showed her GP the report especially the part about the slow information processing. The GP made a
referral to have a hearing test and her appointment was last week Monday, They have found out that she has hearing loss in her left ear, the inner ear is weak. If it was not for your report goodness knows!'

E-mail from parent of a child with Speech and Language difficulties
dated September 2008
Thank you so much for the outstanding report that you completed for our son B.
David and I are fully aware that without your detailed and thorough report regarding our son he would not be starting his new school, B.H in September 2008. After two long painful years we can finally rest knowing that B's needs will at long last be met. Your independent report was honest and accurate and one of the best decisions we have made.
We cannot thank you enough for your professionalism.
An e-mail from a parent dated March 2007
"The LEA finally relented and agreed to fund the place
when it became apparent that we were intent on fighting and that they had no
chance on Earth of winning a tribunal. Obviously, your input was the key
factor in swaying their decision and I want to thank you from the bottom of my
heart for what you've done for us - and, more importantly, for XXX. This will
make the most enormous difference to the rest of his life. You should be so
proud of the contribution you make to the happiness of children like XXX and
to their families.
Thank you for everything."

A letter from a parent dated
September 2002
'In April this year you saw my daughter and conducted a psychological
assessment. I just wanted to let you know what positive remarks have been made
about the clarity and thoroughness of your report by both teachers at school
and the speech and language therapist we have seen subsequently.
The actual assessment proved a wonderful step forward for my daughter. We read
your report through together and my daughter realised that the difficulties
she had been having in class were due to a learning difficulty and not lack of
ability. When she returned to school after the Easter holidays she rang me at
work at the conclusion of the first day to tell me what a great day she had
had. She had found the courage to put her hand up in class to ask for
clarification for the first time. She has certainly grown in confidence since.
Thank you again for seeing my daughter and for producing such a useful
report'.
